Yep, it's that day again! Happy Star Trek Day! My favorite series will always be Next Generation.

Live Long and Prosper! The Next Generation is my favorite too. My favorite movie is Star Trek IV The Voyage Home.

Mine is the TNG movie; Insurrection

I always liked TNG. Got it all on DVD and TOS too.

I guess that my favorite is Voyager, although the original is great (in spite of 1960's style special effects.)

What about your favorite ST movie?

It occurs to me there have only been movies for TOS, TNG and the reboot movies. No movies for any of the other series, like Voyager, Enterprise, DS9 (a favorite of a coworker here), Picard, Strange New Worlds, although there was a movie for the "Discovery" series I almost forgot about. Section 31.

I think that I would have to agree that the Voyage Home was my favorite movie. Marilyn gets a kick out of Captain Kirk trying to fit in with 1980s culture by swearing, and sounding like a lame fool.

Interesting, I had not thought about that. I would love to see some movies staring Captain Janeway, and her crew.

I noticed that. I like all TNG cast movies, none over another.

Chris you had to mention the Section 31 movie. :P  That should not even be considered Star Trek! I do have most of Star Trek in DVD or Blu-Ray. I'll probably get the Section 31 movie to round out the collection but only if it goes on sale! Then it'll collect dust on the shelf!

I really like "Star Trek: TOS" it's what I grew up with.

Of the follow-on series my favorite series is DS9.

The look of "Next Gen" and "Voyager" was "Spic & Span" clean all the "ships and equipment" look perfect, and you must always follow the prime directive.

DS9 broke the mold with the "Cardassian" station. I like the look of  the station and fact that things are beat up looking and need repair.

I remember myself and all my work friends, taking a long lunch on Friday December 7, 1979, to go see the "Noon Premier" of "Star Trek: The Motion Picture" at the local theater (we worked late to make up the time).

But, "Star Trek: The Motion Picture" moves at a snails pace.

So, I really enjoyed 1982's "Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan" and it is my favorite Star Trek movie.

This thread is the first place that I have even heard of Section 31. Reading the write up about it, does not really motivate me to see it.

Same. never heard of it. I've seen bits n pieces of Picard, and it don't make sence... Picard is basically an android, Data, is pretty much Human, the Enterprise D is back, Picard and Beverly had a child, and Androids are basically slaves... It really don't make much sence...

I was excited to see it. Disappointed afterward.

Until I saw your post, I did not know "Section 31" existed. I checked with my local library and they have several copies of the DVD, when I visit the library I will checkout a copy to watch.

Section 31 (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Section_31_(Star_Trek)) was first mentioned in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and has since appeared in or been referenced in other series and films, including Star Trek: Enterprise, Star Trek: Discovery, Star Trek: Picard, Star Trek: Lower Decks, and the film Star Trek Into Darkness. The organization is a secret, autonomous division of Starfleet that operates outside the law to protect the United Federation of Planets.

The cast of the movie is made up primarily of people from Star Trek: Discovery

I should have said "Until I saw your post, I did not know "Star Trek: Section 31 the movie" existed.

I had heard of "Section 31"; such as when the covert operations group Section 31 becomes interested in Dr. Julian Bashir and tries twice, unsuccessfully, to "recruit" him in two DS9 episodes ("Inquisition," "Inter Arma Enim Silent Leges").

I have watched the complete series "Star Trek: Discovery" from beginning to end, one time. I found it OK, but not one of my favorite Star Trek series.

Word on the street is that in January 2026 there will be a new series, Starfleet Academy (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt8622160/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0_tt_8_nm_0_in_0_q_starfleet).
