It looks like I may be able to, finally, get started into home control. A couple weeks ago, I picked up a complete (except for the monitor) TRS-80 Color Computer (CoCo) model 2, complete with a Plug-N-Power cartridge, from our local E-Waste site. I haven't had a chance to check it out yet, but hope that I will be able to check it out soon.

That's awesome! I haven't used the X-10 stuff since 1999. For a while it was the only consumer option to really remotely turn things on/off. It will be interesting to see what you end up doing.
