Title: HDD/SSD 2.5" to 3.5" Adapter
Post by: Chris Savage on May 22, 2025, 02:41 PM
This adapter (https://makerworld.com/en/models/178624-adapter-hdd-ssd-2-5-to-3-5#profileId-196803) ensures a snug fit for your 7mm, 2.5" SSD, securely housing it within the larger bay without any risk of movement or instability.

I made one for a micro sd card to 44-pin ide adapter. Worked pretty well.

In TinkerCAD, right? In this case I was browsing MakerWorld (https://makerworld.com/en) and saw these. There are hundreds of different drive adapters. Some more standard and some for more proprietary systems. There are some enclosures for Raspberry Pi servers (https://makerworld.com/en/models/1313089-raspberry-pi-4-node-cluster-case). Here's another one (https://makerworld.com/en/models/1062225-microlab-mini-modular-home-server-rack#profileId-1050648).

Sent two prints home to the printers today. One completed, the other did not. Ran out of filament on that spool!

DOH!  :-[

That's ironic. I sold my Creality Ender 5 to a coworker and he said it just started shutting down when trying to use it. Not sure what happened, but he ended up getting a new board for it.
