I put up SMF for these forums because it was the first forum software I ran for my website back in the day. But I was just updating my profile and noticed that there are only two fields for chat communication; ICQ and Skype, both of which are no longer in service. I sure hope they decide to update those fields and include something that is still around.
AIM is gone, as is Yahoo Messenger, Google Hangouts was deprecated. It's getting to the point that you can't count on ANY platform to stick around these days. ::)

Do you happen to remember when you could reply to YouTube videos, WITH A VIDEO? They stopped doing that a long time ago. I mention that because Google has deprecated so many things over the years, I think many people have forgotten about them. Like, Google Latitude (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Google_Latitude).

Oh yeah, in fact, one of my popular projects, GPS Datalogger (https://savagecircuits.com/gps-datalogger/), was affected by Google first making changes to the Google Earth API, requiring me to change the code. Then later, deprecating it altogether.

Nice..... All I know is the YouTube ch, Doxie-Din Not Just a Dashound, was demonetized, 2-3 yrs ago by them ONLY cause they were from Russia..... cause of the whole thing with them and Ukraine... 1 mo did them ALOT of hurt...

The Savage///Circuits YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/@savagecircuits) was demonetized after earning some money, because I didn't have the minimum number of subscribers AFTER they raised it. They only pay out when you reach a certain threshold and I was just short of that when they changed the rules and cut me off.

That should have been an exception under the circumstances, since you was already monotized. In the other ch case, it was cause they are Russian... which is wrong.
