Title: Electronics Photos from 2011
Post by: Chris Savage on Nov 21, 2025, 12:46 PM
Was looking for some information online from an old project I am trying to restore and came across this old Flickr photo feed. I haven't used Flickr since these photos were posted.

Misc Stuff (https://www.flickr.com/photos/savagecircuits/albums/72157681253756280/)

Nice find. The pizza pies in your "pi Day 2012" album made me hungry, and I just finished eating. ;D

The "Knight Design LAN Parties" album was interesting - those days of lugging your full desktop over to the buddy's place (and no laptops!) were painful. I actually never went to a LAN party, but did take my systems, starting with ZX-81s and TRS-80 w/ expansion interface, monitor and disk drives, and up to various PCs (including CRT monitors) many places - pretty much the same thing.

Mine was a full server case. Antec uses heavy-gauge steel. Mine was VERY heavy.  :-\

The Freq Counter in 2 of those photos. You sent that one or one just like it to me years ago, still got it.

Oh, yeah. So much hardware in that photo. Much of it was given away. Hard to keep track of it all.

I still have it connected to my Instek GOS-620 scope. lol  Thought about trying to make a 2nd output circuit for the scope for the 2nd Ch, but can't really find schematics for it...

Nice. Glad you're still able to make use of it. With my reviews, companies used to send me free equipment all the time. I would pass the stuff I wasn't using onto others who didn't have certain things.

Nothing wrong with that, and thanks again!

I am also using this bench DMM from the same manufacturer, though my Fluke multimeter is much more accurate.

One thing I don't have, but my 3 DMM's will get me by with anything I need.
