My computer business, Knight Designs Computers, used to host LAN parties back in the day. From 2000-2004 we recruited several local gamers for some local LAN parties. The deal was easy...you bring your PC / Monitor, I provide the network connection and games. Some good times. Wish I had taken more photos.
The first ones are at my house. Then there are some at my computer shop. Then there are some at the loft of an auto parts store / repair shop. Good times. Found these old files on Flickr where I was initially trying to build a public photo gallery until they changed their hosting policy and I gave up. These photos span 2000-2004.

I never was at a LAN party. Looks like they were fun. It definitely is dated with the CRTs and towers. If they were done today everyone would have a laptop and probably would network from their own home rather than get together in one place. That would be sad though since I bet half the fun was just being together in one place playing, eating pizza and drinking soft drinks.

Yeah, the internet did more to push us apart, rather than bring us all together.
