Title: OHMS LAW Wheel - Lightbox
Post by: Chris Savage on Jul 15, 2026, 01:38 PM
OHMS LAW Wheel - Lightbox (https://makerworld.com/en/models/1779953-ohms-law-wheel-lightbox#profileId-1895959)

I originally wasn't going to finish printing this after seeing some bad artifacts on the first few layers, however, I fell asleep and the front finished, so I will present the results.

I was originally interested in this model after seeing what the author said about it. I was going to stop the print after seeing artifacts in the first few layers, but fell asleep. This is the front that finished printing. At face value, it looks good.

The back was printing on another printer that had two partial spools of black. I underestimated how much material I had left and both spools ran out during the print. This is how far it got before it died sometime around 3:00AM.

As is typical of many lightbox prints on MakerWorld, I noticed some "pinholes" in the face that will allow light to come right through various spots without being diffused by the white part.  :-[

This is what I am talking about with artifacts detected in the first few layers while printing. I will post a reply with four more examples.
