Amazon Prime Delivery

I have several issues with Amazon Prime delivery. One is that they tell me if I place my order by a certain time, it will be delivered in one or two days. However, when the target delivery date / time shows up, suddenly the package is running late. I had one due on the 11th by 8P recently. At 8:01P the status changed to, "Now arriving on the 17th".  :o

Quite often, they don't follow the delivery instructions, which ask them to put the package inside the front porch door. So the packages often get rained on and then returned.

I don't even open them if they get wet. I return them and reorder. This package was soaked and the box was very squishy. I waited until it dried and then tossed it aside until it could be returned.

The following video shows how the packages are sometimes dropped off...

And then they don't put anything inside the box to prevent stuff from knocking around inside, so they arrive damaged.  ::)

I've never had issues like that, yet anyhow.

Some people never do. I'm just lucky, I guess. An Amazon driver told me that with new people they don't really give them any training. They send them right out and expect them to just "figure it out". That's pretty crappy.

Amazon usually asks me in the "delivered" emails to click thumbs up or thumbs down on my delivery experience. If they follow the delivery instructions and don't treat my package like Ace Ventura, then I give a thumbs up. Otherwise, it's thumbs down. I'm ordering a sign today that asks them to put them inside the front porch. We'll see how that goes.

Lol thats a good way to put it.  Too bad you can't do that to their packages.

I've had issues with FedEx delivering to the wrong address, it's always the same house which has a different street name and the house number is not even the same as mine, the saving grace is that it's in the same city and fairly close by, the owner is a nice guy and has my phone number now, he just calls when he gets my packages.

The fact that it's the same house all the time makes me think it must be the same driver making the mistake, my wife called the local Fed ex office and the manager told us he would get it sorted out, we will see.

Recently we ordered a bag of dog food as a donation to the local shelter from Wal Mart, what we didn't realize was that the shelter locked it's gates at 2:45. Wal Mart have this neat little tracking app where you can see the drivers location and we could see them get to the destination then turn around and take the delivery back to the store, again human nature turned out to be a good thing when we saw it happen the second afternoon, we called the driver and they detoured to our house so that we could take care of delivering the dog food ourselves. This time it was really a case of it being my fault

That must be annoying though, having to keep going through this. I've had the same Cell Phone number for 15+ years. As soon as I got it (A CA number), I started getting calls from debt collectors, banks, insurance companies, you name it. This has been going on ever since. Sometimes I don't get calls for a few days, but they always start right back up again. Apparently, this woman named, Dawn Goebel in Marysville, CA keeps giving out my number for her credit scams. Once they go to collect, they keep trying to call me and I live on the opposite side of the country now (since 2018). Just a week ago, she must have signed up for something as I got 50+ calls in a few days and half as many TXT messages.

Good luck on that. Drivers change.  ;)

I have witnessed them arrive to my address before when I was in the apartment complex, then leave, either without delivering, or the package says delivered, but they left it in the wrong building. In the cases where they leave, the package ends up being "late".  ::)

Chris that is so coincidental, we have a land line that we had to have a long time ago because the alarm company we had at the time said we had to have one because the wireless in the area was below par. I'm thinking that was close to 15 years ago and we still have that land line, the same thing happens with me, I get calls for a Brian Benson from tire companies, stores, collection agencies quite regularly. last week was the most recent. It must be a thing with these sketchy characters.

Yeah, 90% of the time, the calls / messages are for, "Dawn Goebel". The rest of the time they're the typical nondescript messages / calls that pretend they have business with you, though they don't ever say your name or anything that can specifically identify you, indicating you're just a random person.

My worst is the packages arriving late...

Recently I got some calls from "Toby", saying he was in the area buying homes and wanted to know if I would sell mine. I've gotten this same scam on / off over the last 15 years. You have to ask yourself how they would know the cell phone number of someone just by passing their house. Not only that, but he never mentions the address of the house or my name.

Got several for mine... really annoying...

The thing is, at least in my cases, I don't think it has anything to do with property. I think it's just a typical scam to get your information, and at the very least, confirm you're getting these messages so they can continue to SPAM you. I like how he just "Googled" the address and found me. I don't own any property in CA where this message supposedly came from.

Besides the voicemail, "Toby" immediately sent me a TXT message as well. Notice that in voicemail he asks me to confirm that he does or does not have the right number. In the TXT message he asks me to reply 0 for him to stop contacting me. He wants confirmation that his messages are being received and he'll get no such confirmation from me. When I get random TXT messages that say, "REPLY STOP TO OPT OUT", I just delete it.

If I can help it, I don't even open random TXT messages because many have attachments. Sometimes just a small colored square image. Most people don't realize that this is a form of tracking cookie. These images have unique filenames associated with the number the image was sent to. When you open the message the image is loaded from their server, confirming you received / read the message.

Annoying, ain't it?? Lol
