Theme Changes Coming Soon!

The theme I am using on this website is a paid for, subscription theme. A few years ago the company stopped updating their original three themes that I subscribe to and their focus is on a unified theme. I haven't wanted to change anything because I had most stuff just the way I wanted it, however, the current theme does not support newer social networks and isn't updated in a timely manner for WooCommerce (even though I am not currently using it).

So, I think I am going to take some time out this weekend to switch to the new theme and try to get it as close as I can to what I have now. Things may look a little wonky or even appear to be missing while I am making these changes. Please bear with me while I get things in order. Hopefully the growing pains won't take much time.

Of course that weekend got busy and I didn't want to start making changes to the theme until I could (mostly) complete it, to prevent the website from being "broken". I am going to try again soon. So if things look wonky, just come back later. Worst case scenario, I will back everything up and revert if necessary.

In the new theme, I have been working on changing things over. I ran into some issues and got help via support tickets, though things are going a bit slow. The newest problem is that the new theme isn't displaying any of my content from the original theme, except fixed pages, not posts. So more than 75% of the site isn't working when I switch. So until I get a response to my ticket with a solution, I cannot continue to make the switch.

I spent the majority of today updating the website theme so that it stays up to date, rather than getting errors that certain templates are out of date. This was a tough update since the old theme automated many awesome features that are not included in the new one.

One immediate change is there will no longer be comments on the main site. Instead all pages will end with a link to comment / discuss these articles on this forums. I have to go through each and every article to update this. If you have the time, please give the new website theme a once-over and see if you notice any issues, errors or omissions. Hopefully this theme will keep things going for a very long time now.
