Missing Posts

Sometimes when I am on for a long time but haven't read all the messages, I miss them. They're still unread, but I get no status / indicator that they're not. The only way I realize this is that lately I have been using the Recent Posts link after reading messages. On occasion I find some I somehow missed.

So if I go into the General Discussion board and there are two messages (threads), and I read one, if I then go back to the "top", there will be no indication that there's an unread message in that board, unless I go back into General Discussion.

I bring this up because lately I have followed up on several messages that were to be updated, so I replied hoping maybe they were just forgotten, but they remain without updates. In one recent case, I sent a PM, but there are others. Just something to think about.

I don't really want to mod this software in any way, but it does seem like many posts get missed for whatever reason. Wish I didn't need a mod to tag someone in a post...that gives me an idea though...
