3D Printers & Laser Cutters / Re: 3D Print of the Week

Interesting, I have been looking into the A1 Combo (four color.)

It seems that the printing on the sides of those lube appliers would be better if they showed on which axis it was to be used. Although, I guess that the shape of the grease head shows that.

The 3D Print of the Week for this week is actually three (3) lubrication tools for the A1. When you buy the A1 printer, you get lubricant and grease for the different axis, however, it isn't easy at all to apply it to the rails, threaded rods, etc.

These three tools make it so much easier.

3D Printers & Laser Cutters / Mario Pipe Pen Holder

Mario Pipe Pen Holder

Super Mario pipe-shaped pen holder could be used for more than just pens. I will be using them for brushes, spudgers, tooth-brushes and x-acto knives.

Quote from: granz on Apr 19, 2026, 09:58 PMI don't know - it seems that it would be better to just buy a replacement (https://www.vretrodesign.com/products/vla81-zx81-ula-replacement - and it has 13 5-star reviews) rather than trying to build your own.

Plus it always bothers me when someone produces a document that has a large percentage dedicated to "not my fault" disclaimer legalese.
Haven't found that site at all, I just get the one with no shipping to US available.... besides FleeBay. lol THANKS!

Also, Brian, you may want to change the title of this thread: I would rather not wait until 2027 to have our next meetup. :P

Quote from: Chris Savage on Apr 17, 2026, 08:39 PMThe last one was a one day event, though we met again for dinner and some of us met the next morning for breakfast before going home. It was held at First Christian Church, 503 North Main Street Extension, Meadville, PA 16335

Complete story / history here.
I was going through that thread, and noticed something:
Quote from: MicroNut on Sep 28, 2025, 05:22 PMIt was a good time. I'm glad to have met all of you!!!! Counting down to August 29th 2026 for the next one :). JKNight, that is an awesome idea! Hopefully Chris can set up a chat room. I remember OBC had one and there were about 5 people that got on it weekly for about an hour. I've lost track of them all over time. It would be great to talk with people that wouldn't give me a glassy stare when I go "geek".
Did we discuss arranging our next meetup right after the last one? I forgot about that, and it is not in my calendar. If we did set up that date, I am okay with that, and it is not too close to Marilyn's birthday.  ;D

I think that I will start getting stuff together now, rather than waiting. The little LED flashlight kits will be good for "everyone gets one" give away gifts. I'll also bring a few bigger "door prize"/"raffle" items.

In my post-meetup posting, I (and several of us) mentioned cutting back on what I am bringing. I think that one, or two, in-progress projects, plus maybe one, or two, completed projects for attendees to play with, will be plenty.

I also really enjoyed our after-show dinner at Perkin's - it was really nice. Looking forward to the Savage Meetup 2026. :P

Marilyn said that we cannot do it the weekend before, nor the weekend after, her birthday (30 Sept.) Last year, we met the weekend before her birthday, and the year before that, I went to Cincinnati for Tandy Assembly; and that was also the weekend before her birthday.  :(

So, she was pleased that we are planning on meeting in August.  :)

If we do need to meet in Sept, it should be on Saturday the 19th, or earlier.
