Due to Jason's offer of the Parallax Serial LCD, I purchased five of the I²C 4X20 LCDs. Unfortunately, I ordered the plain LCDs with the I²C controllers NOT installed (I was sure that the ad had said that they were soldered together, but nope.  ) They were a good price, but (with my essential tremors - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Essential_tremor and general poor fine-motor control) it is difficult for me to solder any more.

If one of you guys would be willing to solder all five of these sets together, I would be willing for you to keep two of them for yourself. When I opened the package, I noticed that there are male headers soldered onto the controllers so that part of the soldering job is covered.

If shipping price for you to return the other three to me is an issue, I could reimburse you for shipping.

So, I got all five backpacks installed, boxed up, weighed, measured and ready to go for the return trip tomorrow. By the way, using the Arduino Library, these displays support the following commands:

init, begin, clear, home, noDisplay, display, noBlink, blink, noCursor, cursor, scrollDisplayLeft, scrollDisplayRight, leftToRight, rightToLeft, shiftIncrement, shiftDecrement, noBacklight, backlight, autoscroll, noAutoscroll, createChar, setCursor, print, blink_on, blink_off, cursor_on, cursor_off, setBacklight, load_custom_character, printstr

It turns out I actually had several projects going on, and one was the repair of this fuel pump. The wires to the switch were broken / missing and the switch was received separate from the pump.

After cutting new wires, tinning them and soldering them in place, I used heat-shrink to secure the wires.

This whole evening was spent with the 3D Printers running prints, me at the soldering bench for quite a while and great music playing in the background.

Today saw me having to mow the lawn because it was getting out of hand after all the rain. The problem is I wasn't able to get the mower ready (clean and sharpen blades), so I had to just run it. It's in pretty bad shape right now. Caked with grass both inside and outside!

Sadly, no. I have been working on the meetup, our vacation (leaving Chicago tomorrow and heading to the USAF Museum at Wright-Patterson AFB, Dayton,) and other things. The next quick project will be a weather sensor system, and one of these modules will be part of it.
