On here, in Green.

Nice, but isn't this supposed to be battery powered? Those LEDs will cut into your battery time. Are they able to be turned off?

No. 5v 3A power supply

granz

Ahh, got it. There are big (power) advantages to using mains power.

Thinking of using the Borg 9 font, sadly whatever i use has NO choice but to use Sketch up... tinker cad only has like 1 font..

I got a temp metal case cutout, and the edges flattened out, and are far from straight or clean.... so definitely working on the 3d printed case for final finish.

Quote from: granz on Aug 19, 2025, 09:13 PMDo you, at least, have a sheet metal break? Missing that would make things much more difficult. I have seen people make their own jury-rigged break, but that would be a bit difficult too.
Interestingly, I just, now, saw an article on building your own cheap brake: https://some-disassembly-required.com/box-and-pan-brake/

Hopefully, this will help.

I been using 2 wood pcs, screws n clamps... got 3 done, but I need 2 more bends for the temp case.

I did get all but 1 cable in. Which is the usb ext n splitter for my leds.

I've got the mock up for the case done, though it WON'T have the Pi 5 installed inside. I still need the USB power cable and a micro USB ext cable. Gotta figure out the best way to put my cables and where to install everything... cable length on some make this a bit tricky...

After issues with the Rasbian OS, keeps failing to verify and won't post, so tried another and finally have a first boot up! Currently working on updates before the os loads. Sadly the Red Dragon Keyboard has no Linux support for software... Lucky I can somewhat control it via Fn + "certain keys".

Congrats, it's looking good.

Can hardly wait to see it.

Same! I am so close to getting my desks / benches moved around and once I do, I can finally work on my Pi stuff.
