Everyone should use what they feel comfortable with and can afford when realizing projects, however my own personal opinion is that microcontrollers are great for most control systems, while SBCs like the R-Pi boards are better when you need more raw computing power, mass storage support and Wi-Fi / Networking. Regardless of cost, I would rather use a BS2 to blink an LED than an R-Pi, even if said R-Pi is 1/4 the cost. 

Normally I agree. However, the Pico is a microcontroller. Even though you can make the Pico pretend to be a complete computer, OS and all. These powerful controllers can kind of blur the distinction between controller and computer.

Interesting...I'm not familiar with the Pico. I guess I've always assumed the entire R-Pi line was SBCs.

The Pico is that microcontroller that I have been talking about so much lately. The BASIC language (PicoMite BASIC) is such a powerful language, and it even surpasses the BASICs of late-1970s and early-1980s home computers. It is also the system that I was using for your CP/M (using RunCPM) system for Z-80 assembly language programming. (Sorry, I need to get back to that project soon. )

Yea, and when I look back at them, I realize I thought they were just a smaller (lesser) Raspberry Pi SBC. You did remind me that I did purchase the one that was recommended for the Z80 emulation, so I can actually check out the languages for that.

Well, I had hoped to get peoples input on my question, so since I've not gotten replies to that. I decided to just switch the Pi4 and Pi5 out.  I found a 3d file for a case out and am printing it now.

If you're referring to the POLL added to the thread, I only saw that a couple of days ago, but didn't really have an opinion one way or the other. Seemed like a more personal taste thing to me. Sorry.

Yes, sorry, I got caught up in the miss-spelling of the word "poll." After wondering about a pole in your Karr for a bit, my mind just ignored it, and moved on. I completely missed that you had set up a poll, and were asking for our input.
