Quote from: Chris Savage on Jul 19, 2024, 08:50 AMMost of my "older" programs run on regular Windows. The programs I worry about are actually newer software designed for multi-core Windows 10 / 11 environments with lots of RAM.

Vegas Pro is one such piece of software, for example.
https://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=application&iId=3467 Shows that wine is not very good for Vegas Pro (at least not the newer versions.)

I use OpenShot (https://www.openshot.org/) for my video editing. Now, none of my video editing was very demanding, but I have seen some examples of some really cool videos from OpenShot. Try looking into that as one more step away from Windows - especially today with the BSOD troubles hitting around the world.
