I was a bit surprised that you had deleted the URL for that Bambu Lab thread about the brittle filament from my comment - then I realized that you had not deleted it, but that I forgot to include it.   Sorry about that - there is some more information, and other ideas there. Ok, first maintenance issue. Clogged nozzle.

Tools Needed:
   -Tools inc from printer or Allen wrenches.
   -6 mm wrench
   -5/16 wrench
   -Needle nose pliers or multi-tool pliers.
   -5/64 drill bit
   -Nozzle cleaning tool. (Whatever the heck the sharp wire is...)

1) Shouldn't have to say, but keep the hotend cold. Pull out bowden tube.
2) Pop off front fan cover, literally magnets hold it on. Disconnect wire.
3) Push cutter on side.
4) There are 2 screws on top of hot end. Remove screws and there are 2 small connectors, 1 for heater, larger, 1 for temp, smaller. Carefully remove.
5) There are 4 screw on the sides of the hotend assembly. Remove all 4. Pull off cover.
6) There are 3 screws holding the extruder cover on, pull off, NOTE: The cutter is on here, USE CAUTION as it's basically an X-Acto blade.
7) There is a larger gear here, pull out and check extruder for clog. Replace when clear n replace the 3 screws.
8 ) Replace cover and 4 screws.

Nozzle:
1) Pull black cover off hotend bottom.  Keep note of the 2 sets of wires how they are on the hotend.
2) Use pliers to pull metal sleeve out of black sleeve.
3) The black wire is the temp sensor n the small white thing is the heater, they will fall off, keep note of how they wen if they didn't fall out.
4) I used a 5/16 wrench on the heatblock and 6mm wrench on nozzle, remove.
5) I used my pliers and a candle to heat up nozzle to try and remove filament.
6) If nozzle is clear already, and nozzle cleaner goes through ok, goto 10; otherwise continue to 7.
7) Replace nozzle in heatblock n tighten.
8 ) I used a 5/64 in drill bit in my cordless drill to put the bit into the top of the hotend and using super slow speed, pushing the bit into the block slowly removing the filament as far as possible. I use super slow to keep from damaging the inside of the passageway.
9) I had to remove nozzle again to put drill bit into nozzle end directly to completely remove filament, then pushed nozzle cleaner into it to make sure the tip was clean.
10) Replace nozzle n tighten.
11) Place heater and the sensor into their original locations, and put metal sleeve over them. Replace Cover over hotend,
12) Reinstall connectors to hotend using tweezers or pliers, and install screws.
13) Replace fan cover.

Well, I got an app called OctoApp from the Android store, IOS, no idea. There is an official app from Elegoo, Elegoo Matrix, but when I tried it, no Centauri Carbon 1, support, but I did try this app and it does work on mine from on my network. Can it go online, off my Network? I think so, NO clue on how that's be done.  Now I did notice that the app couldn't give perfict control. Was a few hickups that made function not totally work, but overall, did work.

@JKnightandKARR - I did see your earlier post about the Canvas system. It looks pretty nice, and I already started saving. I now have plenty enough (actually considerably more than enough) saved up to buy one myself. I have been using the Carbon to augment my printing - printing some stuff for a camping trip with the kids & grandkids this weekend.

Ok just wanted to make sure you saw it. Elegoo has an official app but it don't support the CC1....

That is pretty strange, I would not have thought that the CC1 was so old that they would ignore backwards compatibility. 

I have to wonder if Elegoo will put in the (relatively) little bit of effort needed to include the CC1.

I did a bit of research, and it appears that Elegoo Matrix uses BlueTooth to monitor/control the printers. I'm thinking that the CC1 does not (may not) have BlueTooth connectivity. The OctoApp appears to use the WiFi and goes through Elegoo's cloud structure rather than BlueTooth. I'm wondering if that is the trouble with Matrix not being able to connect with the Carbon Ones?

If that is the case, then it should be pretty easy for Elegoo to incorporate that cloud-access into their Matrix App. Strange that they did not think of that.

@granz Have you printed on your CC yet?? I always have to make manual adj to temps, otherwise it gets clogged...

Oh yeah, I've printed a bunch of stuff. Earlier (https://savagechats.com/index.php?topic=634.msg5415#msg5415,) I mentioned that it printed a benchy crazy fast - just over five minutes. In all of the printing that I have done, I have not had any adjusting of temperature settings, nor anything else - it has just been working great. I do really like this thing, and am glad that my daughter would prefer the Neptune.

I have also had it printing several other things. I need to start some threads for some of the stuff that I have been printing.

I remember the Ghost Ship Benchy; I wasn't sure if you used the Elegoo Slicer software yet.  I need to try and figure out how to adjust the temp from the slicer software.... kinda annoying taking the extruder apart often..
