Facebook is where I originally saw it. The version I saw pulled the mouse down and beat it's ass which was sticking up through a hole.

Though this be the first one I seen where the mouse is hung.

Unfortunately, the "pause" button right in the middle of the video kind of blocks the action of the "noose" going over the mouse's head, and how it tightens. I was able to figure out most of the action, but it took several replays.

Speaking of Mousetraps...I just reached under the sink to refill the dish detergent dispenser and there's mouse poop under there. I really need to get my mousetraps up and running ASAP!

We had mice a few times after we bought this house. I found a mouse "poison" that I put out about a year, or so, ago, and have not seen any evidence of mice since then.

It turns out that mice are unable to pass gas; neither farting, nor burping. So, this "poison" (completely harmless to non-rodent pets, etc.) is just baking soda. You mix baking soda in equal portions with Jiffy Honey Cornbread Mix. The sweet smell of the honey cornbread mix attracts mice (and rats, etc.) Then the baking soda mixes with the acid in their stomachs creating carbon dioxide. The gas actually ruptures their stomachs, and kills them. Even better, the rodents take some of the "poison" back to their nests and give it to their "wives" and kids, and it kills off the entire family. And, since other animals can pass gas, scavengers that eat the mice do not have any troubles.

We have not seen any signs of mice since I put out these traps.

My concern with any type of "poison" or anything that kills them at some arbitrary time is based on a recent issue we've been having. About a month ago we started smelling this dead animal / rotting carcass smell in our living room. We can't tell exactly where it's coming from. It smells horrible and when the weather is really hot it smells worse. We're not sure if it's in the wall, under the floor (there is a crawl-space) or where it is coming from.

I thought by now the smell would have gone away, but it is persisting and without knowing exactly where it's coming from, we're unable to do anything about it. I am hoping to revive my mousetraps and catch them live and control their "death" so it doesn't happen in a wall, ceiling, floor, etc. But I do appreciate the suggestion. If not for the current situation, I might have considered it. But the smell is horrible! We have two glade plug-in type air fresheners and they don't seem to help.

Try some pans (low-height and wide, like frying pans, or pie pans) filled with vinegar. That did some great help to a house that our daughter had accidentally rented out to druggies - there were half decayed rat carcasses, and leftover food, all over the living room and bedroom. It was almost impossible to breath in her house after the druggies moved out, but the vinegar helped to clean the smell out.
