I also found a magnetic print bed, and that is on its way and should be here on Tuesday. So, hopefully my Voxel will be back in production soon.

Sorry, I neglected to mention where I got the magnetic bed. It should arrive today, and I'm hoping that I can start using my Voxel again. So, as, a breadcrumb, in case I, or anyone else with a Voxel/Adventurer 3, need to find it:

Another setback - the bed that I received was the non-metalic version and did not have the steel build plate. That one is being returned and a new one should be shipped out soon.

I now have two magnetic stick-ons for the print beds with build plates for them. It is a long, hard job to remove the glue (I don't have any Coleman's fuel nor acetone) from the beds, but I do have one that is nearing completion. It's probably a good thing that I am not a girl - after using my thumb nails to remove this glue, my manicurist would probably beat me.

Hopefully, I can resume printing on my Voxel soon.

If you're referring to having extra plates, I have two extra plates for my two P2S printers, plus one Bambu Dual-Texture PEI Plate. It's nice to just switch plates after a print and buy some time to clean the existing plate after it cools.

It turns out that acetone is the main ingredient in nail polish remover - who knew. When I mentioned to Marilyn that I was considering purchasing acetone from Amazon, she got some nail polish remover for me. I tried it, and had some more success, but thought that "real" acetone would be better. I went to Amazon and searched for acetone, and every result was nail polish remover. So, I checked the ingredients on the bottle that she gave me, and it is mostly acetone. So I do not need to order "acetone" from Amazon.    After several alternating applications of acetone and alcohol, I finally got the bed clean enough to apply the magnet sticker. The plate sticks great, and I tried another print job.

The fidget infinity cube that I printed came off the new build plate just perfectly (yay! ) Unfortunately, it does not move - the articulated hinges are frozen together. I used the settings from the picture in the Amazon sale page:

It occurred to me that Peter has had no, or little, troubles with his prints - and I don't think that he has changed the settings in the slicer. So, I am going to print the fidget block again, but change the temperature settings back to default. Hopefully, that will fix the troubles.

I figured you knew that already, but good luck on the prints. Tried the Centauri Carbon yet?

Yes, it works great. I'm kind of hoping that my daughter decides that she wants the Neptune 3. The main reason that she might want that is because her brother (their kids are more sisters than cousins) has the Ender. It would be easier for the kids to have the same printer at both houses.

The default settings for FlashPrint include a raft. The print looked good, but the raft did not come off cleanly (actually, not completely at all.) I tried a third time after removing the raft in the FlashPrint settings, and the hinges are still frozen together. I do not remember if I ever printed any articulated models, nor do I remember if Peter has printed anything articulated - maybe the Monoprice does not do well with articulated models. This may require some research. In the meantime, I printed another one of those micro powered breadboard cases from earlier in this thread. The lid was a bit thin, but it looks like it will work out.

All of the prints have come off the new magnetic build plate beautifully. It is almost like the A1, in how well prints come off now. I really like how this worked out - although getting the surface, and glue, off the old bed was a real pain.

I have printed many articulating models on MY A1, P1S and P2S as print-in-place. All worked on the first try, though sometimes they can be a bit sticky at first. My latest is this phone stand for work. Foldable / adjustable and print-in-place.

Yeah, I have also printed many articulated models on my A1, with no troubles. It is only with the Monoprice printer that I have troubles with articulated items. Strange...
