I have an Epson HX-20 that works (well at least the computer & display work. I have not tried the printer, nor the tape drive. The original power supply is included.

It includes the carrying case, and an EPROM which is supposed to contain EpsonConnect (which, if I recall correctly is a communication program.)

The last time that I put one of these on E-bay (several years ago,) I got about $150. so I am going to put that as the starting price for auction. Before I put this up on E-bay, I wanted to offer it to any of my friends here first. I would like to get the $150, but will accept offers below that. This will go up on E-bay this Saturday (04 Jan 25.) Due to troubles that I have had with overseas shipments, I am only offering this to people in the U.S.

I have posted this to my four social media networks. We'll see if that helps you any. I will create the Buy / Sell forum and move this after you post to eBay, just to give the social media peeps a chance.

I'm going to need to delay the sale of my HX-20.

Unfortunately, on Wednesday my sister texted me to let me know that my niece (~20 years old) passed away that morning (great New Year's news,  :( .) Last night, she texted the info about the funeral arrangements, so it looks like my wife and I will be going down to Houston for the funeral. Since it is in Texas, we will be leaving this Tuesday, and plan on taking four days to get to Houston.

Also, we have been wanting to go back to Texas any way to visit our son who lives in Central Texas (plus our son whose wife is stationed in TX.) So, we will go for something sad, but add some great joy to the trip. Our trip will take about three weeks; I will be on Savage Chats some, but won't bring the HX-20  :P , and so will be unable to ship it out until we get back.

I'm sorry for your loss, my friend. I'm sure anyone interested will be understanding about any delays. Have a safe trip and don't worry about us...we'll be here when you get back.

Thanks, but I'm not going without my main laptop (that would be almost sacrilege :o .) I will be on Savage Chats while I'm on the road, just not quite as often.  ;)

Okay, the "For Sale" forum has been created and this thread has moved. Existing links will not be affected and should still work.

Thanks Chris.

We are finally on our way back home (we left Canyon Lake (where our son, and family, live - Central TX) this morning; tonight we are bunking down just east of Dallas, in Greenville, TX, approaching Texarkana.

We had originally planned on heading due east yesterday, from Canyon Lake, on I-10, through Houston and then on to Keesler AFB. That is where my wife, and I met, in Computer Repair school in the Air Force. Unfortunately, the killer Winter Storm covered Houston with three inches!  :o  of snow - that breaks snow records for the area. The police are telling everyone in the Houston area to stay off the roads - they do not have anywhere enough snow removal equipment in the South. In addition, the storm extends beyond Houston, and even past Keesler. If we had left yesterday, like we had originally planned, we would have been in the midst of the storm in Beaumont, TX, and would have been trapped, possibly on the road, in our car.

So, anyway, we did extend our stay until today (the grandkids were having a holiday off from school, so we decided to stay with them for an extra day.) This turned out to possibly save our lives, or at least keep us from harm. While watching the Weather Channel last night, we saw that going due north to Dallas, and then east on I-20/I-30/I-40 we could avoid the storm (just think, we run from the "winter storm" by going north. ??? ) The travel so far has been near-perfect, pretty cold for the area, but clear roads, and clear sky.

So, we should be home by this weekend (although, being retired, we can stay extra nights at motels, if we run into bad snow or anything else.  8) ) When we get home, I will get back into selling that Epson, and other things.

Ironically, the WiFi card in my main laptop died. I have a few other WiFi cards for laptops at home, but did not bring any with me. Fortunately, I did bring my main netbook (plus my Linux tablet with keyboard, plus my main Android tablet, plus two additional phablets plus my phone  :o  - old Boy Scout, "Be Prepared.") So, I have been able to get on-line, just a bit difficult typing on this small keyboard.)

Well, we are back in Southwestern Pennsylvania, but we are not home.  :o

On our way home, yesterday, our son (who has been checking up on our house) called while we were about an hour out. We have no water, at all; the trailer court sent out a group text saying that there was a leak, but everyone has low pressure. Nope, not us - the leak is near our house, and we have no water.  :( A second text after we got back said that the plumber can not get to the job until Tuesday, or Wednesday.  :'(

I contacted the manager for our park, informing her that we have no water, and asked her to get the plumber to raise the priority to "emergency" since we cannot even flush the toilet. No response from her at all, except to send out another group text reiterating that the plumber should be able to start the job on Tuesday, or Wednesday. She did not even mention raising the priority of the job.  >:(

So, even though we are in our local area, we have to continue staying at hotels for several more days.

Last night I tried to post this update from the Holiday Inn Express, but my netbook started acting up. It would work for a few minutes, then spontaneously reboot - no controlled shutdown, just POW, rebooting. There was some kind of weird power outlet, kind of like it was meant to handle all of the different international power plugs, in one outlet.  ???

Today, I spent most of the day at our house (had to melt a bunch of snow to flush the toilet,  :-\ ) and work on my computers (the main laptop has a different WiFi card than the ones that I have in my supply point - time to order another.  :( ) Meanwhile, I started a backup of the data on my laptop, to get ready to set up a new (to me) laptop, and let my netbook run while charging - no reboots for several hours. The best that I was able to figure out is that there is something funky about the power at that Holiday Inn - clean power from my home workshop worked fine (in fact, we are at another hotel and this netbook is working fine,  ::) weird.)

So, any way, hopefully I will be able to get back to selling some stuff by the end of next week.
