RIP Propeller 1?

I just noticed that Parallax has discontinued the WRX Activity board. What I used to like about the Propeller 1 was the plethora of boards that enable you to get up and running quick. I have most of them. The Demo Board, PPDB, Activity Board and so on. I realize that they still have the Flip which is like the Pico, Teensy and Arduino Nano but there is no ready made plug in board for the Flip. The only one they have is a kit that requires soldering.

I realize most of the us here that isn't much of a barrier with our expertise but for a newbie this is a big turn off and I feel they would be better off with a Pico that has many plug in boards for quick development.

Chris is right that Parallax is a shadow of its former self and I feel like this may be another nail in the coffin that already has many nails.

My biggest complaint, even when I worked there was how fickle they were with regards to products. Things seemed to get discontinued so fast. And then, instead of leaving the documentation, source code, etc on the website for those who did purchase the products, they were wiped, sometimes permanently.

I noticed that myself - it was pretty frustrating.

Even some of the P2 stuff is already discontinued.
