I'm always happy to inspire, sir.  8)
Well, two unused camera bags gone so far. Anyone in need of notebook bags?

Wow, you must be able to see the future.  ;D Offer posted.

As you can probably tell by the lack of posts here, my attention has been diverted lately. I actually need to print a few practical items. I just finished putting together our sideboard cabinet for the dining room. Our home did not come with cupboards above the counters. In stead we got shelves. We didn't want to store our dishes and glasses out in the open, so we got the sideboard cabinet to hold that stuff. Anyway, after putting it together, I noticed it tilts a bit in a corner due to the floor not being level there. So I thought I would print another 3D shim, this time for the cabinet leg.  ;)

Lately some of my stuff for the 3D printers has been running in the background. For example, these are items I was hired to make for friends / coworkers.

This one was for a coworker.

This one was for a friend out in CA. Those I haven't seen since working at Parallax.

These are Vikings emblems for the Vikings fans (football). I'm not a Vikings fan, but the Yellow / Purple hearts above was for a Vikings fan coworker.

These are the parts for a Vikings Hammer. Everything still needs to be assembled, but this is another paid project.

I almost forgot, this is a group of the "beige" parts for a Raspberry Pi case that is a Retro PC. The gray / silver parts are printing now at home.

In this photo I have not yet removed the supports and cleaned things up. These are fresh off the plate since I had to clean it and head to work so it is empty to send the next print job home.

How do you "send the next print job home"?  Do you use VPN, or some other way of remoting in?

I suppose if you wanted, you could use the printer "offline", as I did with the Creality printers. However, to really get the most of your Bambu Lab printer, these are signed into your account and linked via the app to their cloud service. When you download to your printer, the model data is actually sent to the Bambu Lab / MakerWorld cloud, which slices the model and then sends it directly to your printer.

Since I have two printers, I can select which printer I am using. The system already knows which filaments you're using because the spools have RFID tags that identify them to the AMS. Each printer also has a camera that can be used for live monitoring and / or time-lapse. So I can remotely see what the printer is doing at any time. Of course, each printer is on a bench right under the security camera in each room, so I can also see them through my security system while at work.

So, here's what the primary printer sees through it's built-in Time-Lapse camera.

Wow, snazzy! I normally don't like using cloud systems, but this is pretty amazing.

I don't normally like to use Cloud-based systems either. TinkerCAD is such a system. But for the benefits I get with my printers, I'm for it!  ;)
